Board of Education

Duties of the President and Vice President

President

The President shall preside at all meetings of the Board and perform the customary duties of the office and all such duties as required by law. He/she shall sign, together with the Secretary of the Board of Education, a copy of that portion of the Board minutes listing the payroll and bills to be paid. He/she shall appoint members of all committees authorized by the Board and shall vote as a Board member on all matters considered by the Board.

Vice President

The Vice President shall perform the duties of the President if there is a vacancy in the Office of President, or in case of the President’s absence or inability to act, and other duties imposed upon him/her by the rules of the Board.
